Motorbikes

Why not chose Culmill Lodges to be your base as you explore the Highlands of Scotland on 2 wheels? The open roads, magnificent scenery and fresh air prove popular year after year with motorbike enthusiasts from all around the world.

Very popular events such as The Scottish Six Days Trials in Fort William, held annually during the first week of May and the annual Harley Davidson Rally in Aviemore draw fantastic crowds.

Lambs

Aww! Yeah! It's lambing season and once again I catch myself watching in wonder (even at my age) these gorgeous little walking clouds of fluff. They really do make me smile :) Watching them I realise how sociable these wee animals really are amongst their own kind. The arrival of the lambs gives me a 'feel good factor', as it not only symbolises the beginning of new life but also the arrival of Spring/Summer.

Update: Well the lambs are growing, birds have nested.....and don't we know it 'chez nous' .....each year the little darlings find a way of gettin into the eaves and nesting either in or very close to our loft....who needs an alarm clock in the spring/summer? Haha :)

Nevertheless it is lovely to watch our feathered friends gathering twigs etc, busily going about their duties, awaiting the arrival of their babies.

For the first time I witnessed a woodpecker paying a visit to our garden the other day.....although have heard their pecking on occassion had never actually seen one, 'in real life' ,so to speak.

For sure there is an abundance of wildlife out here, foxes, badgers, birds of prey..including red kites, deer, pine martins....the list goes on.

Enjoy!

Sam :)
